Two-Coloured Flower Tree

Using the ‘two-coloured flower tree’ near my campus as a starting point, I gathered conversations with people I know. I printed the dialogues out on papers, cut them into pieces and put them in a bottle. My friend and I drew strips randomly and read them out to create new conversations. I filmed things I found related and made a film and sound installation out of it. The film plays on an old TV monitor while the audios play in two-channels through two stereos underneath two seats. When two people sit on those chairs, they would feel the voices come from underneath themselves or from the other person’s direction. The audience could choose whether to immerse themselves into the conversations or to stand by and observe. New conversations could therefore take place.
